FAQs

Still confused? You might find the answer below!

What exactly does a Travel Designer and Consultant do?

A Travel Designer creates tailor-made journeys based on you. I don’t sell pre-made packages—I design road trips that match your interests, style, and budget. Whether you want a full itinerary or just some expert guidance, I help you travel in a way that feels personal, smooth, and inspiring.

As a Consultant and Travel Agent, I can also take care of all the bookings—accommodations, activities, transport, and more—often at rates you wouldn’t find on your own. Thanks to access to B2B platforms and trusted local partners, I offer not just convenience, but real value.

How is this different from booking through a traditional travel agency?

Traditional agencies often sell standardized tours or push certain hotels and providers. I work independently, which means I only recommend places and experiences I truly believe in. Everything is researched, tested, and chosen with care—just for you.

Can I book everything through you?

Yes—if you choose The Whole Journey package, I’ll handle the bookings for accommodations, experiences, and extras based on your final approved itinerary. For the Roadmap to You, I provide everything you need to book on your own, with clear instructions and recommendations.

I’m not sure what I need—how do I choose the right service?

No worries! Just Book a Free Consultation, and we’ll figure it out together. I’ll listen to what you’re dreaming of and guide you toward the best fit for your travel needs.

How much do your services cost?

Prices vary depending on the level of support and detail involved. You can find starting prices listed on each service section. After our initial consultation, I’ll send you a tailored quote based on your specific needs.

Do you offer support during the trip?

Yes! For Tailor-Made Packages and Single-Support Services, I’m available during your journey for any issues. You won’t be alone—I’ll be just a message away.

Are you ATOL and ABTA protected?

Yes, absolutely! I operate under full ABTA and ATOL protection, which means your bookings are financially protected and handled with the highest standards of trust and compliance. So whether you’re booking a full package or just parts of your trip, you can travel with total peace of mind—knowing you’re covered every step of the way.

How far in advance should I contact you?

The earlier, the better—especially for peak travel seasons. Ideally, 6–8 weeks before your departure. But don’t worry, if you’re planning last-minute, reach out and I’ll let you know what’s possible.

Why do you charge Service Fees?

Crafting a one-of-a-kind travel experience takes time, expertise, and care.

To keep things fair and flexible, my service fee is based on the total cost of your trip—not a flat rate. This way, you only pay in proportion to the complexity and scope of your journey.

Here’s how it works:

Tier 1 – Simple Journeys or Pick-and-Plan

5% of the total trip cost
Applied to shorter or more straightforward getaways (up to 5 days)—think single-destination trips with a relaxed vibe and just a few pre-booked highlights or single service bookings.

Tier 2 – Moderately Complex Trips

8% of the total trip cost
Applied to multi-stop itineraries, scenic detours, and a blend of immersive experiences—crafted with care, but without overwhelming logistics.

Tier 3 – High Complexity or Group Trips

10% of the total trip cost
This applies to luxury or long-haul adventures, remote destinations, family or group travel, or anything that requires lots of puzzle-piecing and hands-on support.

Are there any upfront costs?

Yes, there’s a small upfront fee of £50 to officially kick off the planning process. This covers the time, research, and creative work that goes into crafting your bespoke journey/itinerary/bookings. Don’t worry— this amount is deducted from your final price. In short: it’s more of a commitment than a cost.
